Accountant familiarity matters more than people expect
If your accountant already works predominantly in one platform, that’s often reason enough to pick it, since they’ll spot issues faster and you’ll get more value from their input. Worth asking before you commit to either.
Interface and day to day feel
Xero has a reputation for a cleaner, slightly more modern interface that many small business owners find easier to navigate without training.
